Trachycarpus Takil (Kumaon Palm) is related to the Windmill palm and is native to the foothills of the Himalaya in Kumaon in northwestern India. The Takil has leaves that are smaller then the windmill, although not as small as the Bonsai. They grow taller then the Windmill palm and are thought to have wet and cold tolerance similar to the Windmill and Bonzai. There has been much confusion in the past as to the true seed origin of Takil in the past but it is believed to be settled now.
